NFC keychains with a link you can change anytime
You print the keychains, put an NFC tag inside and sell them. With ReTag the link in the tag always stays the same: where it leads is up to you, even after the sale.
The problem: the link is written into the tag
If you write your shop or profile link straight into the tag, it stays there forever. You change shop, close a page, want to run a promo: the keychains you already sold still lead to the old address, and you can't reprogram them once delivered.

Tips for 3D printing
- 1Use NTAG213, 215 or 216 tags: they are the most common, cost a few cents, and the ReTag address fits even in the smallest.
- 2Model a pocket slightly larger than the tag and pause the print at the right layer to drop it in.
- 3Cover the tag with a few layers: under a millimetre of plastic, phones read it with no trouble.
- 4Avoid metal-filled filaments and keep the metal ring away from the centre of the tag: metal disturbs reading.
- 5Write and test the tag before sealing it in the keychain.
Frequently asked questions
Does whoever taps the keychain need an app?
No. Recent iPhones and almost all Android phones read NFC tags on their own: a notification with the link appears. On Android, NFC must be on.
Can I use the same link on every keychain?
Yes, that's the recommended way: one link per order or per customer, even on thousands of NFC tags.
How much does it cost?
The Free plan costs nothing and includes one link with 500 scans a month, no card needed. For more links there's the Base plan at €5 a month.
Can I see how often it gets tapped?
Yes: for each link you see the scans day by day, with an approximate city and country. We don't store data that identifies who taps the tag.
